Chapter 1238: Honey, You’ve Worked So Hard
In the evening, the Linton Family and the Turner Family rushed to the hospital to visit Lily Turner, who had just given birth, and the newborn baby.
Lily Turner was sleeping deeply, and Easton Holmes didn’t want anyone to disturb her, so he blocked the visitors at the door of the hospital room. He only let Amelia Linton hold his son for them to see because, after all, the person they most wanted to see was his newly born son.
Michael Linton and Serena Zimmerman were too far away to make it in time, but they called Easton Holmes first thing with their congratulations. They congratulated him and Lily Turner on becoming parents and didn’t forget to wish the baby health and growth.
Lily Turner knew nothing about all this happening outside her room. She slept until the next morning and only woke up because Easton Holmes forcibly woke her up.
"Honey! You’ve worked hard!"
Easton Holmes reached out to hold the newly awakened Lily Turner and let her lean against him comfortably. "Eat something before you go back to sleep; otherwise, you’ll be exhausted."
He was also reluctant to wake her, but he was really worried that she would become too weak, as she hadn’t eaten for a whole day and night.
"I don’t want to eat anything. I just want to sleep right now." Lily Turner leaned her head against Easton Holmes, not wanting to move at all. She didn’t want to open her mouth to eat, and she was so sleepy that all she wanted to do was sleep, sleep, sleep. She didn’t want to do anything else but sleep.
Seeing her like this, he sighed, torn between concern and tenderness, reaching one hand to fetch the chicken soup from the bedside cabinet. He took a sip himself and then leaned down to press his mouth to hers.
"Mmm..."
Suddenly fed chicken soup, Lily Turner abruptly opened her eyes. The moment she opened them, Easton Holmes’s smiling face unexpectedly entered her gaze.
"Annoying! I’ll drink by myself."
She reached out to take the chicken soup from his hand, but her hand caught nothing but air.
As Lily Turner lifted her hand, Easton Holmes shifted the chicken soup aside. "I’ll feed you."
"I don’t want it!"
She refused immediately after he spoke, but she was too weak. Her voice was particularly small, yet it still carried to his ears.
"You don’t have the strength to drink it yourself like this. Be good, I’ll feed you." Easton Holmes completely ignored Lily Turner’s refusal, feeding her the chicken soup mouth-to-mouth.
The woman was determined to refuse but was utterly out of strength. She could only watch as the man fed her chicken soup with his mouth.
A whole bowl of chicken soup was fed into Lily Turner’s stomach by Easton Holmes, and with the last sip, he gave her a deep kiss.
Without the strength to resist, she had to let him have his way, and besides, he wasn’t just anyone; he was her husband.
Lily Turner didn’t dwell on how Easton Holmes chose to feed her the chicken soup. Exhausted, she turned her head to look around the hospital room. She didn’t see Amelia Linton or Sophia Wood, nor her son. "Where are the moms? And where’s our baby?"
Since seeing her baby once in the delivery room yesterday, she hadn’t seen him again and was missing him a lot now.
"The two moms went with the nurse to give our son a bath; they should be back soon."
Creak!
Just as Easton Holmes finished speaking, Sophia Wood and Amelia Linton pushed the door open and walked in, followed by a nurse holding the little baby.
