Chapter 817: Eternal Sea
Chapter 817: Eternal Sea
The entire Void Water Pond had been absorbed and stored inside the funnel-shaped swarm of Void Gu.
Yelia looked genuinely shocked now.
Even she had not expected something like this to happen.
"My lord..." she muttered quietly. "You actually..."
Aksai smiled faintly.
"Looks like these little fellows are more useful than I thought."
Then his gaze shifted toward the massive Void Stone platform beneath them.
"Now for the second part."
He raised his hand again.
The remaining half of the Void Gu immediately gathered together.
This time, they formed two gigantic glowing arms. The giant arms looked almost unreal. Like hands made from condensed starlight. They slowly moved toward the huge Void Stone platform.
Then—
Rumble!
The entire platform was lifted into the air.
Yelia’s expression immediately changed.
"My lord! Wait! If that thing destabilizes—"
Before she could finish—
Aksai suddenly wrapped one arm around her waist. Yelia’s eyes widened instantly.
Then—
Boom!
Aksai jumped away from the platform together with her. The two landed safely far from the raised area. Yelia looked startled for a moment.
Meanwhile, Aksai raised his free hand toward empty space.
Rip!
A massive spatial tear suddenly opened before them. The inside of the tear revealed the familiar isolated dimension of the Enchanted Everwood Farm.
The Void Gu carrying the Void Water remained perfectly stable. The black liquid did not leak. The surrounding spatial laws also remained calm. This was because the Void Water was no longer directly touching the isolated dimension itself.
The Void Gu acted like living containers between the two. Aksai narrowed his eyes slightly.
"Send it inside."
The giant glowing arms slowly carried the enormous Void Stone platform toward the spatial tear.
Rumble.
The platform entered the Enchanted Everwood Farm smoothly. The Void Gu carrying the Void Water followed behind it carefully.
Aksai could feel a slight burden through his connection with them. Those particular Void Gu needed to constantly maintain their material state and shape inside the isolated dimension. Otherwise, the Void Water could leak and negatively affect the Farm’s spatial laws.
Still—
The situation remained stable. After the entire platform disappeared inside the Farm, the giant glowing arms broke apart once more.
The Void Gu immediately returned to Aksai. Like flowing starlight, the countless azure particles entered his body again. Only the Void Gu responsible for containing the Void Water remained behind inside the Farm.
Aksai slowly exhaled. Then he closed the massive spatial tear.
Rip.
Silence returned. The underground space no longer looked like a gu insect farm. Everything had vanished. Only barren land remained behind.
Aksai quietly looked at the empty underground region. Then a satisfied smile finally appeared on his tired face.
"Damn. Look at the time
The devouring of the gu insect farm was finally complete.
*****
Far away from the Dadangar Subcontinent...
Far beyond the lands ruled by the Eternal Beast Dynasty...
And even farther beyond the western boundaries of the mighty Shinayin Empire...
There existed a completely different region of the Dadangar World.
An endless stretch of sea.
The Eternal Sea.
Unlike the Dadangar Subcontinent that still followed old styles of kingdoms, sects, clans, and empires, the Eternal Sea had developed in a very different way.
There were no massive centralized empires here. No single ruler governed everything.
Instead, countless city-states floated across the vast sea like stars scattered in the night sky.
Some city-states were built upon giant islands.
Some floated on the backs of ancient sea beasts.
Some were created entirely from formations and Spirit metals.
Some even drifted slowly across the Eternal Sea without fixed locations.
The sea itself was endless.
Storms larger than mountain ranges frequently appeared without warning. Strange creatures lurked in the deep waters. Ancient ruins sank beneath the waves. Countless hidden dangers existed throughout the sea routes.
As such, every city-state developed into an independent power.
And every city-state had an Overlord.
At minimum, one needed strength beyond the 4th Spirit Realm to truly rule a stable city-state in the Eternal Sea.
Still, not all regions of the Eternal Sea were equal.
The outer regions were relatively weaker.
Remote city-states located near the edges of the Eternal Sea were often ignored by the true giants of this place.
In such remote areas, Nascent Soul Kings could still become rulers. They were considered local Overlords there. They had powers to rule their own city-states. But almost all of them were the vassals of the true powerhouses.
Even though these vassal Kings couldn’t act as they pleased in the Eternal Sea, they were powerful, feared, and untouchable. At least within their own territories.
But deeper inside the Eternal Sea—
Things became completely different.
The deeper one traveled into the Eternal Sea, the richer and stronger the city-states became.
Spirit veins beneath the sea grew denser. Ancient inheritances became more common. Rare resources existed everywhere.
And naturally—
The rulers became far more terrifying. The true middle powers of the Eternal Sea were the 5th Spirit Realm cultivators.
The Deity Transformation Gods.
These beings had already surpassed mortal understanding in many ways. Their souls had transformed greatly. Their bodies had become closer to elemental existence. Their understanding of worldly laws had deepened to frightening levels.
Each God ruled territories vast enough to make all of the kingdoms in the Dandangar Subcontinent combined look insignificant.
Some Deity Transformation Gods had backyards bigger than the Eternal Beast Sanctuary. The scale of these Gods’ domains and their wealth was practically unthinkable for anyone in the Dandangar Subcontinent.
And unlike the isolated Nascent Soul Kings who acted modestly as proxy for their true masters—
These Gods often formed alliances with one another.
Trade.
War.
Cultivation exchanges.
Political marriages.
Resource agreements.
The Eternal Sea operated through the balance created by these Deity Transformation Gods.
They were the true rulers of the region.
As for the even stronger existences—
The Spirit Manifestation Realm Overgods...
Those beings were too distant.
Too detached.
Too few.
They were known as Earth Immortals. They were pinnacle figures who rarely involved themselves in worldly matters anymore.
Most of the time, they remained hidden.
Some cultivated inside forbidden zones for centuries. Some explored ancient ruins beyond the skies. Some ventured into the boundless cosmos itself.
The ordinary matters of the Dadangar World no longer interested them much.
Thus—
For most living beings of the Eternal Sea...
The Deity Transformation Gods were the true heavens above their heads.
And at this moment—
Deep inside the Eternal Sea...
Within a hidden volcanic region surrounded by crimson oceans and burning clouds...
One such God was cultivating quietly. A gigantic underground chamber stretched beneath the earth. The entire region glowed red and orange.
The air itself looked distorted from the terrifying heat.
At the center of the chamber—
There existed an enormous elemental pool. It was unimaginably huge. Even the largest dam Aksai had seen in his previous world would look tiny before it.
But this was not ordinary water.
The entire pool was made from liquified fire essence. Pure elemental flames flowed like molten rivers. Waves of orange and crimson fire rose and fell endlessly.
The heat released from the pool alone could instantly reduce ordinary Spirit cultivators to ash.
And yet—
At the very bottom of this gigantic fire pool—
A man sat quietly in meditation. He looked middle-aged.
Calm.
Handsome.
Dignified.
His long dark-red hair floated slowly behind him beneath the liquid flames. The fire essence continuously moved around his body as if worshipping him.
Every breath he took caused the entire elemental pool to ripple. His presence alone felt vast and heavy like a burning sun.
This man was a Deity Transformation God. One of the many terrifying rulers of the Eternal Sea. For a very long time, he remained completely motionless.
Then suddenly—
His eyes opened.
Boom.
The entire elemental pool trembled lightly. The surrounding flames instantly became unstable.
The man slowly frowned. A strange expression appeared on his face.
First confusion. Then realization. Then shock.
Finally— Disbelief.
"...Hmm?"
His deep voice echoed throughout the gigantic chamber.
"Someone actually managed to steal the Void Water from that place?"
The man slowly rose from the bottom of the elemental pool. The liquid flames parted around him automatically. His expression gradually became darker.
Because he understood very clearly what that meant. That hidden Void Water Pond was not supposed to be touched. Not by ordinary people. Not even by most Gods.
And yet—
Someone had actually removed it completely. The man slowly narrowed his burning eyes. His calm cultivation state had completely disappeared.
For the first time in a very long while, a grave feeling appeared inside his heart. The surrounding fire essence exploded outward uncontrollably.
"Someone actually managed to take that Void Water right from under my nose?"
His sharp eyes narrowed dangerously. Thoughts rapidly flashed through his mind.
"Could it be a Greater Overlord?"
The term Greater Overlord referred to beings in the 6th Spirit Realm.
The Spirit Manifestation Realm.
The Earth Immortals.
Those terrifying existences stood at the true peak of the Eternal Sea. Only such beings should have been capable of safely dealing with Void Water directly.
Thus, the red-haired man naturally thought of them first.
However—
Almost immediately—
He shook his head.
